Kicked off our second week of staycation with the 4th of July! We spent the afternoon at the pool and the evening dancing in the streets! We had a block party with our neighbors, shared yummy food and fireworks until the wee hours of 10pm. ;-)
Lydia and I visited Splash Cover and she grew leaps and bounds in the bravery and confidence department. I knew if we got her out of the neighborhood pool to experience new things she would blossom. Excited to see where she's at by Labor Day. Also, summer reading is going strong!
Lydia and I spent a day at Science City. Lydia tried everything and had the best time outside. She is curious, so I know this will be a fun trip to take for several more years to come. Look at her at the top of the potato chip tower...that's my name for it. No hesitation, just climbed right on up!
We ended the day with a quiet ride on the streetcar, seeing the sights of downtown.
Lydia at Grandma and Papa's house playing Chick-Fil-A drive thru with headset fashioned out of a bike helmet, packaging tape and a honey dipper.
Then Uncle Brian and these lovely ladies showed up for a weekend of fun, filled with cupcake decorating, Target runs, Family Feud, ping pong and Main Event.
