My Five Senses
Lydia made a book about her five senses at Prince Of Peace School of Religion. Should we be concerned that she smells her mom and touches her family? She drew more of her family on the back page. :-) Lydia has also learned the Sign of the Cross and the Glory Be.

SPRINKLES!!!
Lydia and I attended a Sprinkle Donuts class at Tastebuds Kitchen. We both had a really good time and will most likely go back for another class soon! Lydia sat at a table with 3 other girls and their moms. She listened, followed instructions and made donuts! While they baked Ms. Jenny read a story about a donut chef. Then we made a glaze, sprinkled the donuts and ate them!

It's been a COLD January!
Lydia had a "boot day" at school so now we have many more boot days! :-)
We went to Bulk It to make 2020 vision boards and the coffee shop next door, MAPS, had Charlie Brown books.
Taking a nap with baby doll...who still doesn't have a name.
Spaghetti night!
Lydia is now very much into diapering baby doll.
We've played a lot of Candy Land on these frigid days that keep us indoors.
Candy Land in our pajamas!
Stealing Daddy's spot on the couch!
Donuts for Dessert at Hy-Vee!
Working hard on her letters and spelling Ms. Straussie.
Snow/Ice Day Puzzles and a dinner date with Daddy at Red Robin.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!
We kicked off our Christmas Season with letter writing to Santa.
We decorated the tree together after preschool church one Sunday.
Lydia is showing off her Forky ornament, front and center.
Gingerbread House time! Lydia was a huge help this year and put all the decorations on herself.
We had our traditional cookie day with Grandma and Lydia was Head Sprinkle Decorator!
Crown Center Santa at Gingerbread Station, followed by lunch, a visit to Union Station and Charlie Brown Christmas at The Coeterie theater. We enjoyed a really good day together, despite the cold that was setting in for Lydia and me, and her feelings toward Santa.
About that cold. Lydia stayed home from school for a week. I powered through and then ended up with a sinus infection and two days at home sick the next week.
SNOW DAY!
Lydia was the Angel in the Nativity Play this year. She had to memorize lines and knew them by heart. Then she missed a week of school and didn't get to practice with her class. She was so proud of herself and happy to see her family. Then it was time for her lines...and she decided to sit on mommy's lap instead.
Christmas Party and Preschool!
Dan, Lydia and I went to the Christmas Festival at the Symphony and I think we will each and every year. What a spectacular night and fun time we had!
While mom and gma were off making cinnamon rolls at the Culinary Center, Dad and Lydia had a snow ball fight and built snowmen!
Christmas Eve! Reindeer Games at daycare! Dinner and presents with Grandma and Papa!
Lydia got her grocery shopping cart! She then wondered why Santa didn't leave her a big one like they have at Hy-Vee. We had lunch and presents with Nana and Papa, then visited Aunt Angel and Uncle Brian for more presents, games and snacks.
We celebrated with Aunt Jen and Uncle Brian the weekend after Christmas and played games, played card, played kitchen and played puzzles. Lydia did not want to see them leave.
