Don't Say I'm Sorry

"So don’t tell me you are sorry. Tell me you are proud of me. Tell me you pray for my continued health. Tell me I inspire you. Tell me you love me. Tell me to keep going after my dreams. But don’t tell me you feel sorry for me, because then I know you are missing the point."

Flu Season Approaches

It's that time again! The germs are already floating around and Daniel and I are going to do all we can to keep Lydia healthy throughout cold & flu season. We're getting flu shots and starting our daily dose of Airborne. Please don't take offense if we limit visitors and ask that you are current on vaccines and have had a flu shot if you are visiting. It can be particularly easy for Lydia to get sick, dangerous for Lydia to get sick, and hard on Lydia to be sick because of her CHD, tracheostomy and immunodeficiency.

Still her fight song!

Our neighbor and good friend, Victoria, mentioned once that "Fight Song" was Lydia's song.  Every since then I've held that to be true.  I hear it on the radio and belt it out.  I hear it on a walk and am overwhelmed with everything that has happened.  I hear it while running a 5k in 100 degree weather and it pushes me to keep running.  Lydia is a fighter!
