On the 4th day of intermittent up and down fever you head to the doctor.
Negative for Covid. Negative for Flu.
Chest X-Rays says it's pneumonia.
Her lungs are weak and floppy to start with.
On the 6th day of rest and countless hours of sleep...
...fever has broken (again)
...gnarly wet cough
...secretions are like a science experiment
...I'm glad she loves the neti pot
So when mom brought coffee and fall flowers, it was time.
I've decorated. I am decorating.
Fall is my favorite.
I may never stop.
