July is over, what just happened?

Went spent 4th of July and the days surrounding with family and friends.  Look at these cheeseballs at the Lake Lenexa Park.  Beautiful park!  Will definitely go back.

The trach and the pool.  Scares the living daylights out of me, but she is fully capped and we are giving this kid the childhood experiences she deserves to have.  She loves the pool and is ready to get out of her float, for sure.  Hopefully next summer the trach will be gone!

Slide time!  Check the next post for a video!

Our three favorite ladies from St. Louis came for a visit!  Mom and I picked them up on Sunday the 16th and she and Dad took them back on the 23rd.  It was action packed!

Lydia turned into a early 90's style golden girl this past weekend.  We were off to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Great Grandpa Sealey's birthday dinner.  I think she looks adorable and classic.

Lydia has outgrown the shade on her tricycle.  It's bitter sweet.  She can reach the pedals with one foot if she's slanted the right way in her seat.  I predict we'll have the wrap around portion off by next spring.  She's such a big girl and wants to pedal so badly, for now, steering will have to do.

What a Weekend!

Friday started off with a trip to the Monticello Library construction site. The core team and administrative staff were there to sign the last beam put on the building. It was super exciting to see the building take shape!

The I made a July health commitment. 10,000 steps a day, drop 10 pounds, and drink more water!

Mom and I made a trip to the Culinary Center where with met some really fun and rowdy ladies! The class was Summer Patio Party.  We had shrimp skewers with lemon aioli, pork meatballs with ginger sesame sauce, steak kabobs with balsalmic glaze, and lemon dill salmon with chimichurri.

Sunday we had a wonderful picnic, playtime and walk with the Summers Family.
I was so looking forward to this and hanging out with them.  We don't see each other enough!  Lydia played hard, had a fantastic time and took a nice nap on the way home.
Blackhoof Park and Lake Lenexa were beautiful!

We finished the day in the backyard gardening, mowing, cleaning the tent and playing in the water!

Inside Out: Lydia's Version

Anxiety - yep, about most things. Envy - uh huh, and wondering why she's different. (scars, treatments, growth hormone shots, CPAP, IE...
